Private Lessons

Who for? Offering private voice lessons for ages 5 and up. 

A bit of background about myself: I’m a classically trained singer, and have had vocal training with teachers who’ve specialised in different music styles, including pop, musical theatre, and classical, so I am happy to work on any of those genres, or branch out into a new style too.

What we do: *Private lessons vary depending on the child's age, 

• Younger students: Lessons introduce us to our voices, introduce vocal anatomy; how do our vocal chords and diaphragm affect singing, what it means to use our high voice (“head voice”) vs our lower voices (“chest voice”), and how can we sing without hurting our voices, etc. 

• Older students: If the kids are older, we cover all of the above, and go into more depth on vocal anatomy and technique, and work on familiarizing ourselves with reading a score, too. 

Notes: I  focus on student-led teaching, so any specific songs they want to work on are always encouraged. 

Rates: 

• $30 for 30 minutes.

• $55 for 1 hour. 

• Group rates: $20 a person for 30 minutes.
